The Other Queen - Philippa Gregory
Mary Queen of Scots - This is the first time I have read about her. My view of her changed greatly from beginning to the end of this novel. I was so intrigued by the end of it that I went and did a google search to try and find out if the novel stuck close to history. AND IT DID.. I love the way Gregory can make history exciting for me. I am looking for move novels that tell her story.
George Talbot - what can I say about this man, Honestly I would have to say that I found myself wishing for the kind of blind loyalty he portrays throughout the novel. He was so naive at times I found him infuriating.
BESS---- The best character of them all. The best part of this whole story was in the last chapter of the novel. I loved the fact that she was a real person and the description in the last chapter made me want to find out how true. I went looking of pictures of a house**** That's all i will say.

A Great and Terrible Beauty
Okay what can I say about this book......Well I didn't like it, The writing seemed all over the place. The flow was all wrong and to be honest the story was a little boring. I love stories about magic allot, but this story just didn't have any thrill for me. I found the heroine Gemma, rude, insecure, gullible, and totally boring. I found I was more interested in the Gypsies then i was with the girls at Spence. The only part of this book that was remotely intriguing was when they went to see the "Medium" and Gemma visited the realm for the first time. I just found myself reading for the sake of finishing the book and HOPING to god it got better. I found myself falling asleep after only 10 min into reading each time I picked up the book.

Series Finished
A thousand years ago, the Angel Raziel mixed his blood with the blood of men and created the race of the Nephilim. Human-angel hybrids, they walk among us, unseen but ever-present, our invisible protectors.
They call themselves Shadowhunters.
The Shadowhunters obey the laws set down in the Gray Book, given to them by the angel: their mandate is to protect our world from the interdimensional parasites they call demons, who travel from world to world, razing and destroying everything in their path. Theirs is also the task of keeping the peace among the warring Downworlders: the human-demon crossbreeds we know as warlocks, vampires, werewolves, and faeries.
In their duties they are aided by the mysterious Silent Brothers. Their lips and eyes sewn shut, the Silent Brothers rule over the City of Bones, the necropolis below the streets of Manhattan that holds the dead bodies of slain Shadowhunters. The Silent Brothers keep the archival records of ever Shadowhunter ever born. They also watch over the Mortal Instruments, the three divine objects the Angel Raziel gave to his children. One is a sword. One is a mirror. And the last is a cup.
For a thousand years, the Nephilim have protected the Mortal Instruments. But that was before the Uprising, the civil war that almost tore the Shadowhunters' secret world apart. Though Valentine, the Shadowhunter who started the war, is long dead, the wounds it left behind have never healed.
Fifteen years have passed since the Uprising. It's August in New York; the streets blistering with heat. Rumors run rampant through Downworld that Valentine is back, at the head of an army of Forsaken warriors.
And the Mortal Cup has gone missing...
If this has interested you please follow this link to read up on the Characters.
Well, I am not really sure what to say without spoiling the book for all those who have not read it yet, all I can say is that if you are interested in the Gothic underworld, and have ever daydreamed about the creatures in fantasy coming to life you will enjoy this book and will be wanting to be Clary, Jace or Simon by the end of the series.

City of Ashes - Book 2 Finished
There is not too much I can say about the Characters so far but I would have to say that my favorite is Jace. With his whitty comments and great sense of humor in not so humorus settings. I am always Laughing Out Loud at the things he comes out with.
Well since I can't say much " For Now" I guess this is it.
